About the Artist - David Lisy
Dream it.
It all begins with an idea. An abstract vision. Significant amounts of colors and shapes sweep me into my next creative venture. I may envision a feeling of aquatic, or sky or beyond the realm of earth. As I'm in the creative process, quite often I feel that the piece guides me in a particular direction. When that happens intuition takes over. I wish to share that floating weightless feeling in this collection of artwork along with an interesting journey into the imagination.
Build it.
Art has always been part of me. As a child, I used my creative skills for self-expression, my parents recognized my talent and encouraged me. During my later years I successfully obtained a Bachelor's Degree with honors in fine art from the Cleveland Institute of Art. To further incorporate my vision and design, I accepted a full scholarship and studied fine arts toward my Master's Degree at the University of Wisconsin. To this day I love working in my studio and the challenges that are ever present in the pursuit of art. I had a dream, I had an idea, and I built it.
